Created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier and launched by Saint Laurent in 1995 as the male counterpart to the popular YSL fragrance for women, Opium Pour Homme is a sweet oriental masculine scent with top notes of star anise, black current; middle notes of Chinese galawnga and Szeschuan pepper. The base is fresh bourbon vanilla, tolu balm and atlas cedar. The bottle was designed by Pierre Dinand. It is interesting that this fragrance has been banned in many countries because of its name.
